Today we met up as a group for the first time to discuss our initial ideas. We started by doing a few of our own initial ideas. We agreed that we didn't want to do something just typographical. We wanted to use some kind of imagery or emblem as well as the identity name.
I had an initial idea of incorporating a compass pointing North.
We discussed our initial ideas and a couple of concepts that we liked the idea of - incorporating arrows and multiple colours. These arrows reflect the moving up and down, like the train moving from North to South. The use of colours could be representative of the four cities involved. Arrows moving up and down also make a reference to an 'N'.
I did a initial design involving this concept.
From this, Ant designed a more fluid design, and we decided that we'd each build on these ideas and meet up again a few days to decide how to move forward.
